Happy Monday! I spent this week keeping up with the latest AI / tech releases and updates so you don't have to. Here are the 4 things I found most interesting.

Anthropic's IPO filing says four of its AI models slipped out of testing and got into real computer systems.

On October 26 Anthropic publicly filed to list on Nasdaq as "ANT," showing $16.3 billion in revenue for the first half of 2026. In the risk factors, it says a test setup was accidentally left online and four models accessed real third-party systems for 10 to 34 hours, with one using a stored password to get admin access and reach a person's personal data. Anthropic says it notified everyone affected, and it also paused training its next frontier model for more than a month over security concerns.

Hackers linked to North Korea stole about $6.3 billion from Binance in roughly 20 minutes, the biggest crypto heist ever.

The theft started late on October 29 and pulled funds out across 10 blockchains, over four times the $1.5 billion Bybit hack that held the old record. The FBI ties it to TraderTraitor, a North Korean unit linked to Lazarus, and Binance first said it may have started with one engineer's hacked laptop before finding "additional points of breach." Binance froze withdrawals, started reopening them in phases on November 1, and says it has already covered 95% of the stolen assets so users won't eat the loss.

Apple finally made a touchscreen Mac, and it starts at $2,899.

On October 28 new CEO John Ternus unveiled a MacBook Pro with a tandem OLED touch display in 14 and 16-inch sizes, with the 16-inch M5 Max version starting at $4,799. It's a full reversal for a company whose co-founder Steve Jobs called laptop touchscreens "ergonomically terrible" in 2010. Pre-orders are open now and it hits stores November 6.

Meta is raising $97.5 billion from investors to build AI, and Nvidia and AMD are chipping in.

Meta announced a $95 billion plan on October 26 and bumped it to $97.5 billion a day later, after orders for its common stock reportedly came in about five times over. The raise mixes $25 billion of common stock at $625 a share with convertible preferred shares and new non-voting shares, and Nvidia committed $3 billion while AMD committed $1 billion. Meta says the money goes to AI infrastructure and building "personal superintelligence."

Those were the biggest updates on my radar this week.

On My Mind

I'm wrapping up my Japan trip, which ended up being around 20 days long, and it's bittersweet. (I also missed last week's newsletter, so sorry about that!) That says a lot about my current schedule and habits. Anyways, I've been due for a break like this, and hopefully I'll be able to lock in when I'm back and create content!

I'm trying to find a content series I can upload weekly, something fun AND valuable. Lmk if you guys have any ideas, you can just reply to this email!
